Diversity

Current diversity initiatives at Braude include:

A unique program for students from the Arab community, run by the Dean of Students and funded by the Planning & Budgeting Committee. The program aims to enhance academic achievement, lower dropout rates, build a sense of belonging on campus, and prepare students for professional success. It works closely with high schools in Arab towns and holds special orientation workshops before the beginning of the college year, as well as offering mentoring and tutoring sessions, personal counseling, and financial assistance. The program also includes a workshop promoting open dialogue between Arab and Jewish students.

Every year, the college publishes a unique academic calendar that includes all the holidays and festivals that may be observed by students from various religious backgrounds.

The Dean of Students runs unique workshops for female engineering students, supplying them with vital tools that will help them to overcome many challenges they are likely to face in an overwhelmingly male work environment. The workshops also help these young women to successfully combine intensive work with parenting and family life.
