Youth Science-Oriented Center

The Youth Science-Oriented Center at Braude College serves as a regional hub for science education in the Galilee, offering high-quality, hands-on learning experiences in advanced laboratories and engineering facilities. Recognizing the vital role of youth as Israel’s future scientific and technological talent, the center empowers students from across the region through diverse, engaging STEM programs.

Each year, thousands of students, many from underserved areas, participate in a wide variety of enrichment programs, including academic seminars, guided research projects, and immersive courses in physics, biology, chemistry, medicine, robotics, and engineering.

Notable initiatives include:

  • Biotechnology Applications Project – a hands-on research and lab-based program for high school students majoring in biotechnology
  • The Physics Center – research-based learning and experimental programs for physics majors
  • The Space and Astronomy Program – hands-on exploration of space science and technology
  • Encouraging Girls in Engineering – a dedicated initiative aimed at inspiring and empowering female students to pursue careers in science and engineering
  • “Atidistim” and “Lehavim” – prestigious three-year programs for academic and technological excellence, developed in collaboration with the “Atidim” Foundation and the Israel Defense Forces

The programs are designed and led by Braude’s academic faculty, engineering students, and graduate students, ensuring a high-quality and enriching learning experience. Over 100,000 students have already benefited from the center’s programs—gaining 21st-century skills, building confidence, and expanding their horizons in STEM. The center continues to foster scientific curiosity, social leadership, and academic excellence.
