We combine creativity, innovation, and engineering science to develop real-world solutions for real people. Our work focuses on addressing the needs of people with disabilities and medical care teams through advanced technologies and applied biomechanics. Students in our program engage in hands-on, meaningful projects with real end-users, developing assistive mobility devices, technologies that support surgical procedures, and solutions that reduce environmental barriers. With access to cutting-edge labs and state-of-the-art equipment, we bridge human physiology and engineering, translating ideas into impactful tools that improve lives in practical and innovative ways.
