The laboratories of the Physics unit include both elementary teaching laboratories that accompany the core physics courses taught across the college, as well as advanced laboratories for optics, projects, and research. The laboratories are equipped with a wide range of modern measurement instruments, experimental systems, and demonstrations.
Laboratory courses emphasize hands-on learning and the development of scientific and critical thinking, highlighting experimentation as a central component of the scientific method. Students gain practical experience in designing experiments, assessing the accuracy of measuring instruments and achieving the highest possible accuracy with a given experimental setup, analyzing experimental data, and drawing scientifically sound conclusions, while developing proper laboratory work habits, safety awareness, and professional reporting skills.
